Jennifer Spitz, PT, CN, IMT,C.

Jennifer has a rehabilitation approach to gyrotonic. She earned her Physical Therapy degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA in 1996. A lifelong interest in competitive sports: (swimming, track and rowing) has always gone hand in hand with the pursuit of health and potential. In 1992, she developed a large blood clot in her leg that led to being on crutches for 7 months, and the circulatory problems that followed did not allow walking more than a block or two without pain. This created an abnormal gait pattern, and a muscular imbalance that didn't change for years after that. Finding the gyrotonic method 5 years ago proved to be the way in to a true muscular re education for the whole body.

After 15 years as a Physical Therapist, there has been no better way to reach the body's potential than a combination of gyrotonic technique, and an advanced manual therapy called Integrative Manual Therapy.  Structural rehabilitation with manual therapy techniques and neuromuscular re education with gyrotonic technique is a really powerful combination. It changes lives and limits.

Jennifer has been studying gyrotonic with Madeline Black in Sonoma for the last 5 years, at which time she was keeping it as more of a self practice for her own body. She has completed her training with Master Trainer Kathy Van Patten at Marin Gyrotonic studio and is now excited to share her skills with others.
